How a daily series works

PUTGO runs on two fixed moments every day.

The clock

11:00 UTC – entry closes

  • The current series stops accepting deposits.
  • Both pool balances are frozen and matched pro-rata.
  • The next day's series is created with a fresh target at 90% of the official reference price, and opens for deposits.

12:00 UTC – settlement

  • The official settlement price is read once.
  • At or below the target: physical delivery. Matched PONS is exchanged for USDG at the target.
  • Above the target: everything is released.
  • PUT rewards for the series are finalized. 30% is claimable now, 70% unlocks over 120 days.
  • Auto-Renew rolls eligible balances into the next series.

Between 11:00 and 12:00 UTC there are two series at once: one closed and waiting for settlement, one open for the next day.

The target

Each series has exactly one target price:

Target = 90% of the official reference price at 11:00 UTC, rounded down to the tick

The reference price is not the settlement price. The target is fixed for the whole series.

Pro-rata matching

There are no orders and no counterparties. At the cutoff the two pools are matched by size:

Matched PONS = min( Asset Pool, Money Pool ÷ Target, Series cap )
  • The series cap is the maximum amount of PONS that can be matched, set when each series is created. The initial value has not been published yet.
  • Every share in a pool carries the same match rate. Unmatched balances are released at settlement and never pay a fee.

Example: Money Pool 1,000,000 USDG, Asset Pool 600,000 PONS, target 0.90. Matched: 600,000 PONS against 540,000 USDG. Money Pool match rate 54%, Asset Pool match rate 100%.

Settlement rule

Settlement price ≤ Target → physical delivery
Settlement price > Target → release

Only the official settlement price counts. Touching or crossing the target during the day has no effect. A settlement price exactly at the target counts as delivery.

Auto-Renew

Every deposit offers One Series or Auto-Renew. Auto-Renew only rolls the token you deposited: USDG that is still USDG, or PONS that is still PONS. Tokens received through delivery are never swapped back. You can switch it off before the 11:00 UTC cutoff. If the next series cannot accept the balance, it is not rolled and becomes claimable.
